Next I gathered all the things I thought I might like to see plastered to the sides of a box and sifted through until some things just "jumped" right out at me. This is part of the process for me. It matters not how much planning and diagram drawing I do at the beginning of a project, (and believe me I do!), it always seems to evolve into what it was meant to be anyway. I try not to fight it. The faeries were a definite inclusion and I took cues for the color palette from them. I also had quite a bit of personal ephemera I wanted to include since this was a creation especially for me and therefore bound to be frought with hidden meaning!
