I began this year right by treating myself to a journal I have had my eye on for about a year now. Made by RogueJournals.com, this book is totally decadent! The leather is butter soft and the inner pages are handmade paper with a deckled edge. I had my initials stamped into the front cover. I further personalized it by adding a stamped image that is one of my favorites. I also added a key - keys being one of my personal icons.
Tamarind leaves were added during the paper making process. Isn't this just gorgeous?!
Getting ready for the new year!
My preparation to see my one resolution come to fruition. I attached a pre-made card and library pocket in order to record my weight loss each month. My goal date, October 9th - this date coincides with a journaling prompt from last year entitled 1 Year, 1 Month & 1 Day. My word of choice for the year is also recorded here to help me recall. My word is RELEASE.
My final New Year addition to this new journal is a quote found in a book I finished a day or so ago. The book was entitled, "The Thirteenth Tale". A good read by Diane Setterfield. This particular quote was my favorite passage from the entire book! It struck a nerve in me and made me think - hard!
With my new journal all set up and ready for my pen, (and whatever else I might toss in), I feel very prepared to face the new year. Good thing I suppose since the new year made it here about 2.5 hours ago. Ha!
Good Night All and The Happiest of New Years to Y'all!!!
